Raw Duck, London Fields
Raw Duck is the third instalment from the people behind Duck Soup and its definitely worth checking out. I went for lunch but I’ve heard that they offer a good brunch at the weekend and nice cocktails in the evening. The interiors are industrial with pale wooden tables and hanging plants. The restaurant had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere with lots of candles and Van Morrison playing in the background. They are famous for offering homemade pickles and kombucha which work well with most of their dishes. The menu is eclectic with Mediterranean influences often with a Middle Eastern touch. We had kimchi, sauerkraut, pickled red peppers, charred marsala skate (pictured) with green chilli yoghurt and coriander, stewed greens with butter beans, broccoli and crab salad. It’s also great value!
